It had been more than 8 hours, and the China Press Facebook account had yet to return.
Malaysian Internet Sensation known as Ah Lee suggested creating “Part 1 and Part 2” of the incident, given the daily’s tendency to break stories into series.
Ah Lee suggested that the incident be divided into parts, as follows:
“Part 1: ‘China Press’ Facebook Page Suspected to Be Removed Due to Violations!
Part 2: ‘China Press’ Yet to Make a Statement!
Part 3: ‘China Press’ Facebook Page Disappearance Receives Praise from Netizens!
Yesterday China Press Facebook account suddenly disappeared.
China Press has yet to reveal the reason as to why their Facebook account was deleted. It is believed that the Malaysia Chinese-language publication Facebook account was taken down for violating Facebook policy.
“We stand on the front lines of the news without fear or hesitation—not disappearing, but meeting you in a different way,” the daily said.
Chinese Press has other Facebook accounts such as China Johor and China Perak and they are still active.
For now, the publication recommended readers to follow their other Facebook page, China Press Johor, to get the latest updates.
